"I know some of the Jewish / Christian feasts and their differences. I am no familiar with the Jewish Pentecost vs the Christian Pentecost. Could you explain?
The
Jewish Pentecost is the Feast which commemorates the giving of the Torah to the
Jews by God. It is 50 (thus it's name) days after Passover and was the Feast
the Apostles had gathered to celebrate. It has been fulfilled in the giving of
the Holy Spirit to the Church. While the Torah guided Israel before Christ, the
Holy Spirit now guides the Church.
